HIPAA can make reputation management tricky for doctors. But responding promptly with professionalism and compassion is critical to satisfying patients — and attracting new ones. When patients search online for doctors and other healthcare providers, they frequently turn to online reviews. In fact, 72 percent of patients rely on online reviews when choosing a healthcare provider. According to a recent PatientPop survey , 74 percent of patients said online reviews are very or extremely important to them, with 69 percent saying they only consider providers whose reviews have an average rating of at least 4.0 out of 5.
