Even the best coach can’t create a successful team if it consists of baseball players, gymnasts, swimmers and tennis players. If the team members aren’t on the same page regarding what game they’re playing, the team will fail. On the other hand, even a team of good baseball players will lose without a great coach to guide them, develop their skills and give them feedback after a game.Similarly, a sales team trained on a great methodology will still be ineffective without coaching to reinforce what they learn. Sure, they may see a short-term lift, but what’s the point of winning one game if you lose the next nine?
