California Maintenance Contract Project Description: IRD is under contract with the California Transportation Department (CalTrans) to provide equipment, software maintenance and on-call service for the statewide network of data collection and enforcement Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) sites. Equipment in the state consists of both Bending Plate and Piezoelectric sensor WIM systems. These WIM systems provide the state with comprehensive trac data used for planning, with key systems utilized for enforcement bypass as part of CalTrans' involvement in the Heavy Vehicle License Plate (HELP) Inc. program. As part of the HELP Inc. program, the enforcement bypass sites are integrated with the PrePass Pre-clearance program, run for HELP Inc. by ACS (Aliated Computer Services, formerly Lockheed Martin IMS
