Alaska Data Collection Project Description:IRD supplied Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) Data Collection Systems for the Alaska Department of Transportation. The contract includes three WIM sites located at Minnesota Drive, Glenn Highway, and Sterling Highway. The sites are instrumented with IRD iSINC WIM electronics, Single-Load-Cell WIM Scales and Bending Plate WIM Scales. IRD provided three years of maintenance and service for these systems. IRD has provided the Alaska DOT with approximately thirty lanes of WIM Data Collection and Commercial Vehicle Operations solutions over the past decade.
