California - Mountain Pass CVEF Weigh-in-Motion Project Description: This project provides a Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) sorter system for a new Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF) near MountainPass, California (just west of the Nevada/California border). The Weigh-in-Motion system will be used by California Highway Patrol to select and direct commercial vehicles into the CVEF. A total of sixteen Single Load Cell (SLC) scales have been installed in double-threshold congurations at the Mountain Pass CVEF site. These double-threshold congurations include full-lane-width WIM scales at the advance, sorter and ramp locations to achieve the highest level of WIM accuracy possible.
