Gallup and Workhuman's research highlights the critical role of employee recognition in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Recognition can create an inclusive environment, reduce burnout, and help retain diverse talent. Employees who receive adequate recognition are four times more likely to perceive their workplace as inclusive and seven times more likely to view it as equitable. Recognizing employees authentically, especially those from under-supported groups, can prevent burnout and turnover, particularly among women and employees of color. Integrating meaningful recognition into DEI strategies can significantly enhance workplace culture.
