Foreword Methodology Executive Summary The 2022 Healthcare Consumer Experience Index
The 2022 Change Healthcare - Harris Poll Consumer Experience Index is the second biennial study conducted nationally among 1,908 consumers. The study was conducted by The Harris Poll and commissioned by Change Healthcare. The study’s goal was to understand just how easy or hard it is for consumers to find, access, and pay for healthcare; what impact that effort had or did not have on consumer behavior; and to uncover any meaningful shifts from 2020 to 2022. The Harris Poll researchers asked consumers to rate the effort required to find, access, and pay for care across 29 tasks.
