Connected cars rely on multiple digital IDs to enable secure features such as digital keys, seamless EV charging and V2X communication. These IDs support authentication and permissions but also introduce risks like key extraction, relay attacks, fraudulent charging and large scale tracking. The paper shows how secure elements, tamper resistant hardware, trusted key management and HSM based PKI protect identities across vehicles, infrastructure and cloud systems. Continuous monitoring through SOCs strengthens detection and response, helping build a resilient, privacy preserving automotive ecosystem.
