PUTTING EMPLOYEE NEEDS FIRST DRIVES 6% SAVINGS ON ANNUAL AIR SPEND FOR IT & TECHNOLOGY COMPANY IN INDIA
An IT and technology company in India struggled with low adoption of its online booking tool (OBT), Concur, for domestic flights, especially with low-cost carriers. BCD Travel identified that the service provider didn’t support central company cards, requiring employees to use personal credit cards. BCD recommended a new provider that allowed direct billing to company cards, eliminating this barrier. As a result, OBT adoption increased from 2% to 60% within six months, leading to up to 6% savings on annual air spend through lower transaction fees and cheaper airfares booked via Concur.
