Online gaming has been steadily increasing over the years, with an understandable spike since the onset of the global pandemic. At the same time, more employers have reported greater challenges in finding candidates with the soft skills they need since Covid-19, including collaboration, problem solving and teamwork. As we’ve been keeping an eye on both trends, we saw the potential for gamers to fill this gap: most would expect gaming to cultivate technical skills, but what’s less obvious is its potential to strengthen soft skills that are becoming increasingly valuable as automation and machines perform ever-increasing routine tasks.
