Commerce State Bank, a growing Wisconsin bank, upgraded from Trend Micro after a ransomware close call exposed gaps in threat detection and the difficulty of managing and scaling its existing tools. After evaluating multiple vendors, it deployed Bitdefender GravityZone (moving from Business Security Premium to Enterprise) to protect Windows workstations, Windows and Linux servers, and VMware virtual machines, adding Sandbox Analyzer, HyperDetect, Patch Management, and Full-Disk Encryption. Since deployment, the bank reports no malware or spyware outbreaks, improved patch compliance from 70% to 95% while cutting patching time by 50%, faster workstation performance, easier compliance reporting, reduced security administration through a cloud console, and 15–20% lower endpoint licensing costs
