SUMMARY • While almost half of all Medicare beneficiaries are now enrolled in Medicare Advantage (MA), surprisingly little is known about how those who enroll in MA differ from those who join traditional Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) in terms of their health, demographics, and socioeconomic characteristics. • Harvard and Inovalon have partnered to answer this question, as well as others that Inovalon’s extensive dataset is uniquely suited to tackle. This is done with the goal of supporting health plans and policymakers, through analytics and new insights.
