What is AI? AI is the process of using a computer to do things normally done by a human. Examples are GPS systems guiding us to our destination, a computer playing against a human in a chess game, or a computer advising us on which candidate is best for a particular role. AI works by processing a series of algorithms or formulas that guide its decision-making process and assign probabilities to various traits. The algorithms also determine what the program should do, when to do it, and how to do it. Some people make the analogy that an algorithm is like a recipe because recipes contain the steps and ingredients and the quantity of ingredients needed to make a cake.
