Philips' Precise Image utilizes AI to enhance CT image quality while significantly reducing radiation doses. It improves upon traditional filtered back projection (FBP) techniques by using deep-learning algorithms to reduce noise and preserve the familiar appearance of FBP images, all while cutting radiation exposure by up to 80%. Precise Image has been extensively validated using clinical data and delivers faster reconstruction times. It offers improved low-contrast detectability and higher diagnostic confidence at half the routine dose compared to previous methods like iDose4.
