Only 47% report strong alignment, and less than half of security leaders feel confident achieving both technical and business objectives. Economic uncertainty worsened misalignment, delaying investments and increasing outsourcing. CISOs often report to CIOs, limiting influence, while most leaders lack business acumen, communication, and stress management skills. The study urges organizations to integrate cybersecurity into overall strategy, adopt business-oriented metrics, and restructure teams to ensure collaboration, resilience, and measurable business enablement.
