Fiserv is modernizing its Signature® core banking solution by working with IBM to run cloud-native workloads on Red Hat OpenShift, hosted on IBM’s latest Power10 servers. This approach lets clients combine existing applications with new microservices on a single IBM Power platform, improving resource use, scaling, and security without needing full system replacements. Early testing shows Signature on OpenShift achieving 19,000 transactions per second, with further optimizations underway. The collaboration with IBM and Red Hat aims to help banks accelerate cloud modernization, deliver new services, and meet growing demands for personalized banking experiences.
