On good days, you get to see someone smile confidently for the first time in years. On the best days, you get to be the reason for literal tears of joy. But on the worst days, you have to handle staffing issues. Hiring, training, and retaining employees is uniquely difficult nowadays, especially in dentistry. Inflation, recession, and the great resignation are a brutal combination that means every employee is an even greater flight risk than before. It’s a difficult time in a difficult field, but even though staffing is hard, it’s not hopeless.
