Client: Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Village of Elm Grove Location: Elm Grove, Wisconsin Donohue developed an urban street reconstruction project through downtown Elm Grove that included new pavement from business front to business front, storm sewers, sidewalks and bike accommodations. Streetscaping elements, including decorative pavement, plantings, curb bump-outs and decorative lighting were also incorporated in the design. Special attention was given to improve pedestrian safety and encourage foot traffic to businesses. Improvements included a uniform and consistent sidewalk and bike lanes, new curb ramps, pedestrian activated in-pavement lighting at select crosswalks, and removal of non-ADA compliant obstacle
