WASTE MINIMIZATION CASE STUDY Zero Waste Dining Halls, University of California, Irvine In 2008, the University of California, Irvine (UCI) campus set a goal to achieve Zero Waste by 2020. It defined Zero Waste as meeting or exceeding 95 percent diversion of municipal solid waste.
