The Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) at Charité collaborated with Intel, Sentieon, and SVA to enhance genomic analysis through a scalable, efficient solution. Facing challenges with high computational demands and costs, the team developed an optimized pipeline using standard Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. Running on Dell PowerEdge servers within BIH’s private cloud, the solution enabled 14x faster analysis of long-read next-generation sequencing (NGS) data compared to industry-standard methods. This innovation significantly reduced cost-per-sample and environmental impact, making bioinformatics more accessible and scalable for precision medicine research.
