KKB GROUP INNOVATIVE REGENERATION SERVICES Taylor Wimpey and social housing landlord, London & Quadrant were picked to build more than 850 new homes on the site, which is situated between the former athletes’ village and state-of-the-art velodrome, it was occupied during the games by the temporary basketball arena. KKB initially started on site in June 2014 and spent the following 18-months there over three different phases. In total, almost 7,000 new homes are planned for the new neighborhood, which is expected to be staggered over the next 20-years; creating a desirable new E20 postcode. KKB’s latest contribution to developing this prestigious area involved the remediation of asbestos contaminated soil and hardcore from Victorian landfill located under the site footprint.
