The development includes 3,000 new homes, shops, restaurants, cafés, an arts facility, landscaped plazas, communal gardens, and a continuous promenade along the Peninsula perimeter. KKB Remediation Limited were appointed to remediate the 7- hectare site which had been contaminated by hydrocarbons from its former industrial occupants - several oil mills, a plate glassworks and food and timber processing plants. We excavated 5,000 cubic metres of material which was treated onsite using bioremediation techniques and re-deposited. T
