H eathrow Airport run a bespoke “Pod-Guideway system” to transport Business customers to Terminal 5. This specially designed system requires on going maintenance provided by Pod-Trak. Pod-Trak were tasked with repairing areas of tarmac that were starting to fail at entrance to guideway ramps as well as replacing old foam nosing that area used to assist in the safe movement of automatous vehicles from the car park to Terminal 5. These nosing guides reflect the laser guidance system that runs the pod system from the business car park to Terminal 5. During a weekend planned maintenance possession, Pod- Trak mobilised teams to carry out works over a 27 hour window and split into 3 overlapping 10 hour shifts.
