The FDA granted the SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 mRNA vaccine developed jointly between Pfizer and BioNTech emergency use authorization (EUA) well into the evening on December 11th, 2020. Moderna’s vaccine also received the same green light from the FDA a week later.
