KKB GROUP INNOVATIVE REGENERATION SERVICES KKB Remediation was appointed by Kier Construction to carry out the remediation of land situated at Sharpness Docks in Gloucestershire. The site was a former waste transfer station on land owned by The Canal River Trust. The land was vacated, but an excess of 2500m3 of soils, plus 1500m3 of mixed rubbish was left behind on site. In completing the remediation, KKB removed various waste streams, which included plastics, wood, gas bottles, asbestos fragments and soils. Initial tests revealed the presence of asbestos fragments within some soils. Our team was fully equipped with PPE to safely deal with the levels of contamination.
