Providing technical expertise for Leicester's pedestrian zone Our transport and urban design consultants provided ongoing technical expertise for this dynamic pedestrian zone in Leicester city centre helping the ‘Connecting Leicester’ vision to achieve prestigious awards. The ‘Connecting Leicester’ vision involves a series of schemes aimed at improving the pedestrian and cycle routes across Leicester city centre linking heritage, tourist, educational and retail areas. We were appointed for the overall design of the city centre pedestrian zone and to help take the plans from feasibility through to delivery of the completed scheme. The completed scheme has won several prestigious awards including the National Transport Award for Walking in the Public Realm and the British Council of Shopping
