Municipal WWT Plant Digesters Odor Control
Two 80 -foot diameter digesters were creating odor complaints from the community. The wastewater plant elected to install a single HLDA750 waterless vapor odor control system to service both tanks. A 3” air hose was set with a T, which fed two 2” vapor distribution hoses secured to the d ig es te r’s hard rails. 1 / 4 ” inch holes were drilled into the hose evenly spaced. The feed pump was set to deliver one gallon of odor neutralizer per day. The system runs 24/7 and uses one 55 -gallon drum every two months. The system was installed in two days with a two man crew. Once a month, the air filter and feed system are inspected. The system runs on a 24 -hour clock in the automatic mode, which shuts off at night. CASE STUDY Two 8 0’ Diameter Digesters HLDA 750
