A municipal plant was digesting in one tank and pumping into a second to thicken and decant. The tanks were open and creating odors during the process. The odor control solution was to install a single HLDA 500 to service both tanks. A 3” feeder hose was run up the side of one tank and teed off to two 2” distribution air lines set on the top rims of the tanks. The wastewater plant operates the digestion process intermittently and only requires the odor control during this process. Therefore, they decided to use a manual odor neutralizer feed pouring a 5 -gallon pail of product into the HLDA unit evaporator reservoir on an as needed basis.
