Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Odor Control
A municipal solid waste facility was receiving odor complaints from the neighborhood as well as having their people working in an unpleasant environment. A simple water -based aerosol odor control spray system was initially installed, which was creating two problems for the facility. First, pumping, filtering, and delivering the water: second, the overspray on the cars and the scale house. Based on site visits at other solid waste facilities that use waterless odor control, the facility elected to convert to the waterless system. A 600 -foot air -driven, waterless system was installed in one day with a four -man crew.
