I CASE STUDY IFT was appointed by Sharkey to provide the self level screeding in the construction of Carlton Hotel Collection's £20m Market Street Hotel in Edinburgh. This recently constructed flagship hotel was designed by JM Architects and constructed by main contractors Sharkey Group, and is a pioneering boutique hotel in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. This £3 million fit-out includes 98 urban-themed bedrooms and an exclusive top floor restaurant and champagne bar with panoramic views across Edinburgh’s historic city centre skyline and will open to guests on 17th June. The works involved full preparation of the exiting substrate followed by the application of DPM/Priming. This ensured a suitable base for the installation of the self-level screeds.
