Helping a leading rail operator win the concession for commuter-rail traffic in Stockholm Challenge The client was competing for the concession to operate the commuter-rail traffic of greater Stockholm, worth some 200MEur a year. Approach We took a program management role working side by side with the client’s management. Together with the client we created the strategic fundamentals for the bid in terms of vehicle maintenance set-up, key supplier selections and unique selling points. We managed key workstreams of the project, including financial modeling, traffic modeling and bid-document management. Value The concession was one of the largest public tenders in Europe, and the client won in competition with all leading players of its industry.
