Case Study
Food Processing Wastewater Lagoon
A food processing plant was experiencing odor from this wastewater lagoon. They tried aerosol “sp ray” deodorizer and liquid chemical additives, neither of which were satisfactory. The chemical management company suggested they try a vapor odor control system. This would eliminate the water issues associated with aerosol products and the higher cost associated with chemical additives. An air distribution system was placed completely around the lagoon, the system is comprised of 4” diameter HDPE pipe fusion welded together with 1/ 4” diameter air orifices drilled 10 feet apart . The odor control trailer pressurized the air system with a 15 hp regenerative blower and an evaporator. The system will consume approximately two gallons a day of odor neutraliz
