Cineca, Italy’s leading HPC center, launched Leonardo, a 250 petaFLOPS supercomputer powered by 3rd and 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and NVIDIA GPUs. Built on Atos' BULLSequana XH2000 platform, Leonardo ranks #4 globally and supports a wide range of research and AI workloads across Europe. With over 5PB of fast storage and 100PB capacity, Leonardo's hybrid architecture accelerates scientific discovery and industrial innovation. Funded by EuroHPC JU, the system integrates Intel’s built-in accelerators to enhance performance and sustainability. An upcoming expansion, LISA, will add 100 more petaFLOPS.
