A15 MOTORWAY MAASVLAKTE - VAANPLEIN - BOTLEK BRIDGE

A15 MOTORWAY MAASVLAKTE - VAANPLEIN - BOTLEK BRIDGE Facts Project Description This concession project comprises design, construction, financing and operation of 37 km of the A15 highway between the Rotterdam harbour (Maasvlakte) and interchange Vaan- plein. The outstanding example of structural engineering within this project is the new Botlek Bridge (steel bridge, lifting bridge) across the Oude Maas. The EPC and PPP project is carried out by the A-Lanes A15 consortium formed by Strabag, Ballast Nedam, Strukton and John Laing. The expansion to double parallel lanes along both sides of the carriageway and the replacement of the old Botlek bridge by the new lifting bridge considerably improves the circulation in the whole area between the growing port and the industrial complex of Rotterdam
