DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF ROADS AND SUSPENSION BRIDGE KHOR AL BATAH-SUR Facts Project Description Design and construction of a suspension bridge with a total length of 204 m spanning over the bay of the Arabian sea connecting the city of Sur with Al Ajah village, two roundabouts with approaching roads with drainage culverts and open channel. The bridge is intended for light vehicles (3 tons) with a span of 183 m, with 7 meter carriageway and two walkways of 1.5 m (total width 10 m). The concept for the bridge has been visualised in a very environment friendly manner and executed without disturbing the natural sea bed.
