Challenge Monitoring of strain, displacement and temperature on a post-tensioned concrete bridge constructed in the late 1960s. The bridge forms part of the UK’s motorway network and carries slip road tra?c at a busy intersection. The sensor system is being used to monitor the behaviour of the bridge following recent remedial works. Resolution The bridge is to be continuously monitored for a multi-year period using a network of 84 displacement sensors, 48 strain sensors, and several temperature sensors.
