The scheme of 27 units consisted of two blocks of 15 1 and 2 bedroom flats for rent and 12, 2,3 &4 bed houses for outright sale. The flats were built using traditional brick and block cavity wall, with the houses in timber frame with brick and timber cladding. The decision to use traditional methods on the flats reflected the need for a more robust acoustic solution and reflecting the fire risk assessment during the construction phase. Built on traditional foundations with PCC ground floors throughout and PCC intermediate floors to the flats with trussed rafter roof finished with an interlocking tile. External elevations had composite weather boarding and feature surrounds to windows in lead. The internal finish to the houses suited the needs of the competitive housing market
