In partnership with Capgemini, this study highlights the power of process simulation in achieving quality excellence in battery cell production, focusing on the electrode drying process. Process simulation offers manufacturers a deeper understanding of production dynamics, enabling precise adjustments that lead to significant economic and technological benefits. Full implementation can reduce scrap rates by up to 3%, translating to annual savings of approximately €138 million for 50 GWh of cell production. This approach enhances process insight, optimizes efficiency, and drives cost-effective, high-quality battery manufacturing.
