OpenAI’s report reveals that college-aged young adults in the US are the most enthusiastic adopters of ChatGPT, primarily using it for learning, tutoring, and schoolwork. Over one-third of 18- to 24-year-olds engage with ChatGPT, with more than a quarter of their interactions focused on educational purposes. The analysis, combining user data and student surveys across all 50 states, highlights adoption patterns and regional gaps. Notably, three in four college-aged users express a strong desire to integrate AI into their future careers, underscoring the need to build an AI-ready workforce.
