BEYOND SOCIAL MEDIA: Creating Meaningful Connections with Young Consumers
To reach young consumers, brands must go beyond social media and build community, engagement, content, and relevance. A survey of 2,000 U.S. consumers aged 15-29 found that 62% feel connected to others who like the same brand, leading to higher loyalty. Consumers expect brands to interact, listen to feedback, and create both online and offline connections. Content must be engaging and authentic, as 46% have unfollowed brands due to uninteresting messaging. Successful brands stay ahead of trends, offer meaningful experiences, and support social causes. To build long-term loyalty, brands must create real connections across digital and real-world touchpoints.
