Data shows that when clinicians are actively involved in strategic choices, they report greater support from leadership, better staffing levels, and more effective workflows. This engagement strongly correlates with higher employee Net Promoter Scores, while lack of involvement is associated with sharply lower satisfaction. Compared with management-led organizations, physician-led models perform better across key job satisfaction criteria. Improving physician satisfaction therefore depends on giving clinicians a greater voice, increasing shared governance, and involving them meaningfully in decisions that shape clinical and operational priorities.
