Securing Tomorrow: Protecting Our Students in a Digital World
A global survey of 6,000 people highlights critical gaps in school cybersecurity despite high parent trust, with 74% confident schools protect data and 51% of respondents worried about risks. Only 21% of schools provide guidance on secure password practices, 14% require cybersecurity training, and just 9% offer access to password managers, leaving most students vulnerable. Additionally, 19% of students reuse passwords across accounts and only 12% report access to cybersecurity resources. The findings stress the need for better password protocols, expanded education, and open communication with parents to build safer digital environments.
