2021 Thales Access Management Index - APAC Edition
The 2021 Thales Access Management Index for APAC shows that 83% of organizations are concerned about remote work security, while 46% admit their infrastructure was unprepared for pandemic risks. Multi-factor authentication is widely adopted, with 52% using 2FA and 72% applying MFA for remote staff. VPN remains dominant at 62%, but 34% are exploring Zero Trust Network Access. Only 34% have formal Zero Trust strategies, though many are planning adoption. Access management remains complex, with 61% using multiple authentication tools and 31% struggling to secure both cloud and on-prem systems.
