Welsh Water, Henllan Background Dwr Cymru Welsh Water supplies water, sewerage and trade effluent services to homes, offices and businesses in Wales and parts of England. In Henllan west Wales they have a wastewater treatment plant which serves the village with a population of over 800. The population of the area has been projected to increase over the next 30 years and so required an upgrade as part of their growth plans. The Overall Objective They required a system to enable them to maintain treatment capacity during the construction of new facilities at its Henllan and Croesgoch Sewage Treatment Works in west Wales, as part of the water company’s capital investment programme for growth projects.
