Getrag Oil Water Separation Background Getrag is the world’s largest supplier of transmission systems for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. They experienced a problem where the production effluent had become contaminated and could not be treated by the site’s own effluent treatment plant. The effluent was therefore being contained and transported off site for treatment. The Overall Objective The Getrag facility generated about 5m3/hr of effluent, and with all available storage capacity being full, they required the means to treat the effluent temporarily, and to achieve a compliant discharge to sewer as soon as possible in order to stop expensive tankering, and to treat all the stored effluent.
