WELLINGTON COLLEGE MANAGING AN UNMANAGED FLEET Wellington College’s approach to the development of its printer fleet had been pragmatic: devices were purchased as each faculty or department needed them. While practical and simple, this approach left the College with a large and unmanageable fleet. ITQ’s audit identified over 200 printers and copiers from a variety of manufacturers. Using comparative data from other independent colleges it supported, the company was able to demonstrate that the College’s cost-per-pupil was disproportionately high.
