WATERPROOFING SOLUTIONS - ROYAL COURT HOTEL, BATH

THE PROBLEM The Royal Court Hotel is a listed building in the centre of Bath, home to an unused Basement. The plan was to convert the unused Basement into a successful nightclub in the City of Bath. For the damp Basement to be turned into an habitable area an effective Waterproofing System would have to be installed. With the building being a listed Structure it was important that the System implemented would have a minimal impact on the original building. It was also important that the system was in harmony with the English Heritage procedures and conforms to the BS8102:2009 Code of Practice.
