Water Supply Management Studies for Durham, NC Client: City of Durham, NC Location: Durham, NC Hazen and Sawyer, in collaboration with Hydrologics, Inc., has assisted the City of Durham, NC with their water supply planning needs through multiple engagements since 2010.Hazen, in collaboration with Hydrologics, Inc., used the Cape Fear- Neuse combined OASIS model as a starting point for more detailed modeling of the City of Durham’s water supply system. The model was reduced to address Durham-specic components and applied to investigate Lake Michie and Little River Reservoir yields, evaluate expanded use of Teer Quarry for o ine storage, and rene Durham’s drought management procedures to base drought declarations directly on reservoir storage forecasts.
