Landfill Gas-to-Energy Study: North Durham WWTP Client: City of Durham Location: Durham, NC Hazen and Sawyer was retained by the City of Durham to investigate the feasibility of benecial use for digester gas and landll gas (LFG) generated at the North Durham WWTP project site. Based on the results of the investigation, the City of Durham was able to negotiate an agreement with a LFG-to-energy developer which results in annual revenue, including osets for operation of the LFG system, of approximately $184,000 per year without any capital investment into infrastructure for the LFG benecial use system.
