W. W. GRAINGER CASE STUDY With increased demand for products in the northeastern United States, W. W. Grainger needed to be centrally located so they could deliver a larger volume of orders in a shorter amount of time. In 2014, the company acquired 96 acres in Bordentown, N.J. and turned to IDI Logistics to serve as developer and construction manager for a new 1.3 million-square-foot distribution facility. The project was later redesigned and grew to 1.6 million square feet. THE IDI LOGISTICS APPROACH The project was originally scheduled with a fast-paced approach to ensure the facility would be operational in the first half of 2016.
